Re-Tails Boutique is the cat’s meow when it comes to all things home decor and pet-related. If you have an animal lover, a person who has everything, or a DIY’er on your shopping list, here is why Re-Tails Boutique is a holiday must!

Re-Tails Boutique is a quirky, upscale resale shop and boutique based inside the Huron Humane Society of Alpena, operated by shelter staff and volunteers as a year-round fundraiser for the animals it serves.

Re-Tails specializes in upcycled furniture, interesting home decor, Grounds & Hounds Coffee Company products, small-batch candles, fine toiletries, and unique accessories for both pets and people. Talented local artists provide much of Re-Tails merchandise, so you can purchase a quintessentially Northern Michigan gift for yourself or a loved one while supporting the Huron Humane Society.

Because the boutique’s home base is inside the Huron Humane Society shelter, there is no overhead to leech off profits going to the animals. Therefore, every purchase you make inside of Re-Tails goes directly to the animals in the shelter. Another benefit to Re-Tails being in operation at the shelter – if you need a little break from shopping there are some very eager kittens, cats, and dogs just waiting for a chance to play with you and make you smile! (Who knows, maybe you will leave with that perfect decorative piece you’ve been looking for AND a furry little friend for the holidays!)

In addition to a permanent location inside of HHS, be on the lookout for Re-Tails Boutique pop-up shops and trunk sales at arts & craft shows across the area, local businesses, and the Alpena Farmers Market.
